Welcome Lady Midnight and her 'family' of vamps have learned to live semi-peacefully with the humans of the town, after the vamps world-wide came out and publicly declared their existence 5 years ago. Then a few weeks ago a werewolf named Damon defeated an alpha and took over a pack, then moved his new pack to an abandoned summer camp just outside the town. Damon planned to take over the town and use the humans there as new recruits as soon as he and his pack turned them, then use the town as a base while extending raids into the city of New Orleans an hour south of the town. Only the vamps stepped in and pushed the wolves out of the town. But when the humans demanded to know why the vamps didn't kill those blood thirsty dogs, the reply was that 'all beings have the right to exist'. Now with the wolves still looking for a way to take the town, the vamps willing to protect the town but avoid killing unless they absolutely have to, and the human residents of the town stuck in the middle, chaos is reigning over the little town of Midnight. What is the Midnight? a typical modern day American small town set in the area where swamp and forest meet and mingle in southern Louisiana about an hour north of New Orleans, complete with teens who can't wait to go to the big city, old folks sitting on porches gossiping, and middle aged folks just trying to make a living and keep their family safe. This area was once farmland where a huge plantation existed owned by Lord Ian Midnight, who came across during the great migration from Britain and was one of the few to head west rather than stay in the colonies and still managed to survive despite the natives inhabiting the area (probably due to the fact that Lord Ian was a vampire), and eventually had the black manor built, though whether it was the original Lord Ian or his son is not clear as records back then were not kept. There is a tiny graveyard a few hundred feet from the manor with a gravestone marking Lord Ian Midnight's death but no date is written there. Over the centuries the plantation dwindled as land was sold off or stolen by carpet baggers after the War of Northern Agression as folks down here in the south call the Civil War that happened here in America, and the ice bergs melted in the polar caps of the planet causing the oceans to rise and the swamp to spread further north to encroach on the town. But the land that surrounds the manor and the tiny graveyard was retained by the Midnight family. A town sprung up around it, a town that chose to take it's name from the plantation that once existed there. Five years ago everyone in town knew the Midnight family still owned the manor but they had never seen the family so figured it was abandoned, children dared each other to go into the haunted manor. Until suddenly Lady Midnight and her entourage showed up one night and announced their existence as vampires to about half the town. Then just when everyone started to believe the vamps weren't here to turn our town into a blood bath, things got even scarier when last month a group of werewolves showed up with some tale about this being their hunting grounds now and decided to move into the old abandoned summer camp near the swamp after the vamps ran them out of the town. Welcome to Midnight, will you survive the night?

Random Chaos - the admins reserve the right to drop in on your threads and post a random event that your thread will have to continue with.

Change the rules - the admins also reserve the right to change these rules without notice at any time, so you should probably check them every now and then for changes.
Number of characters - you can have as many charries as you want, although I'd suggest trying to keep it under a hundred just so you don't like lose your own identity in the chaos.
Post Length - I know there are some sites out there that rate their forums as intermediate or advanced and expect you to write a couple paragraphs and use a spellchecker and double check your grammar. Well I don't do things that way. I figure as long as you post at least 3 sentences and give the person role playing with you something to respond to, then we'll all be happy enough. And everyone makes typos, as long as what you write isn't chat speak or is so bad we can't undersantd what you were trying to write, then screw it, we'll be happy. I don't want to label my forum, why put some technical term on it when frankly we accept everyone of all writing abilities. And to put it bluntly I and the rest of the regular rpers here just don't have the time to try to write several paragraphs for every single one of our charries every day.
